Notes:
This custom-designed pole barn is used as a Montessori for children and toddlers. It was important for the customer that it was an environmentally-friendly place with an open-floor plan for the range of activities.
This building has a Monitor style roof which allows more natural light provided by fixed windows on all sides. Lester's Dark Blue Eclipse Metal Roof System was used to enhance the look as well as to save on roofing material and costs. The unique color theme of the building matches the playground equipment in the fenced area as well as the color scheme inside the building.
The interior includes window glass insulation as well as spray foam insulation.
The advantage of using post-frame construction for this project was the fact that it allowed the end user to keep an open floor plan and create a custom designed layout that worked best for students in a learning environment. Although a complex design, the post-frame construction process ensured an expedited timeframe of completion which was important to the customer as well so students could get in the building when the school year began.
The monitor style roof, custom entry way, multiple wings and other custom design opportunities were completely engineered by Lester Buildings.
