What is oil canning?
Oil canning is the visible waviness in the flat areas of a metal panel and is not cause for rejection of the panel. The Metal Construction Association (MCA) explains oil canning in its Technical Bulletin, Oil Canning in Metal Roofs and Metal Wall Systems.
